Holy Week in Tagaytay
Tagaytay is one of the closest attraction near manila, For Only 2 hours you get to explore a whole new different place. It’s also where people want to freshen up since the weather there is suppose to be a little bit colder than manila.
Here’s a Video Diary I did for the trip.
We went to Tagaytay during Holy Week since that’s the only time everyone’s available. We still went even if we know the traffic we need to endure and the number of people that would be crowding the place. We still went because maybe it’s okay, Maybe we won’t get bored at the car because we have each other. And so our journey to begins.
We went to Tagaytay at aroun 7:30am in the morning. got some Mcdo breakfast take outs and we were heading out manila, At first the traffic wasn’t so bad, there wasn’t even a tiny bit of traffic till we reached the NLEX where GJ, the one driving. Got too much road rage to handle. He shouted, yelled and cursed. We then switched up the vibe singing our hearts out.
As we got to our Location. We were in awe! We stayed at Crosswinds Tagaytay, The place is beautiful. It’s surrounded by trees and trees and more trees with cute roads. It’s a perfect place for a photo-up!
After leaving our baggage at the condo, we then head off to Bags of Beans. I kid you not! this place is only a few minutes away from our place and it took us almost an hour and a half to get there. The traffic was insane and It made us crazy inside being inside the car for too long. Singing wont work this time.
Bag of Beans is a popular spot in Tagaytay that’s very cute and homy. I’ve posted up a blog about them right over here.
After Bag of Beans we went to Sky Ranch which is also a popular site in Tagaytay, It’s like a “perya” or a mini theme park. We rode the ferries wheel and had a look around. We didn’t rode much because it was getting late and going around the park made us hungry.
We then tried to go to Mahogany St. which is suppose to be the food street of Tagaytay. Yep We got lost big time, waze even got us going into this small opening which leads to nowhere but a church. It was dark and we were screaming (being OA). We had a lot of trial and error for this Mahogany St. and we’re just dying of famine inside the car.
Finally we got to see food spots and went to the nearest one with parking and that’s Mer-Ben Tapsilogan. It was a homy restaurant that has huts! They also serves Bulalo and you can’t not go to Tagaytay and not eat bulalo. That’s just wrong. So we ate tawilis a dish also in Tagaytay, Bulalo and sisig. For sure it was a good meal, a good meal indeed.
We then had a mission to hunt down the nearest convenient store to get some booze and water for our night. We have king’s cup and never have I ever to fill us up!
The Second Day was a different kind of day. I’ll reserve it for a story time next time cause we were scared and we didn’t know what would happen. haha! One thing’s for sure. We ended our day with Starbucks because we hella deserve some sugar and coffee after being in a situation that we all know would happen. (and yet we still did nothing to prevent it)
