Going to South Korea last spring I had a lot of questions in mind and here are some questions. I also inputed what things you could expect during this season. This post only includes things that’s connected with spring in Seoul. Doesn’t include the usual tips people ask about S. Korea. Will be making a different post about that.
Weather during Spring
The weather is really nice. It’s not that cold and it’s not hot at all which is perfect when you stroll around the streets. Usually it’s a bit warm in the mornings and cool at nights. Although be prepared and bring an umbrella with you because it sometimes rain in this season.
What to wear during this Season
You can wear transitional clothing where in you still have a coat with you while you wear you usual clothes may it be shirt or dresses. The trick in this weather is to know when to dress it up or down. So when it’s too warm you can just easily take it off then if it’s too cold you could just layer your clothes. So 2 of my friends had cute outfits and maybe you can base your outfit from them.
Sakura Starbucks Drink
I’ve been seeing this Starbucks Drink in facebook everywhere and I’ve never would’ve thought I’d be able to taste it. Check out this link to know how it tasted.
Where can you go to see a lot of Cherry Blossoms?
Expect to see alot of cherry Blossoms this season! Well if you came at the right time and date. If you’re a week late you might not see so much anymore. You can see alot of cherry blossoms everywhere but seeing a whole bunch of them in one row is just wow. You can see them in the following:
- Yeouido Yoonjungro
Gukhoe-daero, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul
서울특별시 영등포구 국회대로 (여의도동)
Cherry Blossoms at Kyunghee University
26 Kyungheedae-ro, Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul
서울특별시 동대문구 경희대로 26
- Seoul Forest
273 Ttukseom-ro, Seongdong-gu, Seoul
서울특별시 성동구 뚝섬로 273
- Nami Island
1 Namisum-gil, Namsan-myeon, Chuncheon-si, Gangwon-do
강원도 춘천시 남산면 남이섬길 1
There actually a lot more but those are the only ones I could say right now. Just make sure you go at the right time where they are fully blossomed. We went last April 9-12 and I think we hit the jackpot for cherry blossoms because they were just everywhere!
Is it too crowded?
To tell you the truth it’s always crowded but during this season yes it is super crowded. So have your photoshop with you or try to spot some sweet locations for your #OOTD photos or Instaperfect Photos!
Just to give you a sample i’ll post a photo below on how crowded it is.
I’ll surely come back next time for more Photo Ops! I would go back with a different crowd or when I’m handling a group again next year. It would be nice to see S.Korea so radiant and pink. I hope you learned a little bit about Seoul during spring.
